May Blessing

(From the book Blessings Every Day)

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

When I try new things, I might not succeed, but God's endless love is all that I need.

Summer Fun Activities

* 4th of July Cake What you need: Cake Mix; Cream Cheese or White Frosting; Red Raspberries; Blueberries

Make a cake together! Follow the directions for baking a cake and allow enough time for the cake to cool before frosting. Frost the cake with cream cheese or white frosting. Add raspberries for stripes and use the blueberries for stars. Create an American flag!

* Patriotic Pots What you need: 3 or 4 " Clay Pot; Red, White and Blue Acrylic Paint; Sponges or Paint Brushes; Mini Flag; Styrofoam; Candy (optional)

Spread newspaper on a table or patio to cover painting area. Paint the outside of the clay pot with your child. When the pot is dry, add a piece of Styrofoam and place the flag in the Styrofoam to hold upright. Fill with red, white and blue candy! This makes a fun and beautiful centerpiece for your 4th of July table.
